2026 guide · Checked October 22
Halloween in Orlando, your way
A little spooky, a lot of choice. Plan a family afternoon, a free evening out or a Halloween party with friends across Greater Orlando.

Start with your group, your budget and the kind of spooky you actually enjoy. Use the sections below to compare plans, then check the organizer before booking. The event links take you to the full listing; dates, times and the main details are right here.
With little pumpkins
Start with the time of day and your children’s comfort with spooky activities. Eolaween at Lake Eola pairs crafts and trick-or-treating with an evening movie and a sensory-friendly Quiet Zone. Maitland Falloween adds carnival games and a children’s corn maze. Zoo Boo Bash is a daytime choice on October 24, 25 and 31; it requires a special-event ticket, with last admission at 4 p.m.
Zoo Boo Bash
Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
Combine a zoo visit with a daytime Halloween celebration featuring trick-or-treat stations, fall games, a DJ dance party and animal enrichment. The remaining Zoo Boo Bash dates are October 24, 25 and 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the last admission is at 4 p.m. Costumes are encouraged for children and adults. Special-event admission is required, including a surcharge for annual passholders.
Special-event ticket required; see organizer for current prices. Annual passholders pay $5 per named passholder.
Dog Day & Howl-O-Ween Costume Contests
Harry P. Leu Gardens
Bring a leashed dog for a garden day with a Halloween twist. Canine costume contests begin at 10, 10:30 and 11 a.m.; register at the gardens before the chosen contest. A dog boutique runs until 1 p.m., and pup goody bags are available while supplies last. Owners must clean up after their pets.
$15 adult, $10 child, $5 dog; eligible free entry applies
Conservation Corner: Mysterious Monsters
Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake
Meet the less familiar side of park wildlife with a naturalist-led program about elusive creatures. Learn why animals such as bats and hidden critters can seem frightening, and discover their stories in the local ecosystem. This is a nature-learning Halloween alternative rather than a haunted attraction. The program is listed as free; check park entry charges separately.
Activity free; check park admission separately
Halloween at the Winter Garden Farmers Market
Downtown Pavilion
Add a seasonal stop to your Saturday. Winter Garden’s official market calendar lists a free Halloween Celebration on October 31 from 9 a.m. to noon. The regular farmers market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., so the special programming has a shorter window. Check the city’s page for the latest activity details. Market purchases cost extra.

Trunk-or-treats around Orlando
A decorated-car candy stop can be an easy way to plan Halloween with younger children. Compare the actual candy hours, not just the start of a larger festival: some car shows and community parties begin before treats are handed out. Bring a bag and check whether registration is required. Ask the organizer about non-food treats, accessibility and weather plans before choosing your stop.
Kissimmee Trunk or Treat
Chambers Park Community Center
Bring a costume and a candy bag to Chambers Park Community Center for Kissimmee's free Trunk or Treat. Decorated vehicle trunks become candy stops, with music and Halloween activities rounding out the evening. The celebration welcomes all ages and does not require registration. It runs from 7 to 9 p.m. on Halloween, giving families a community gathering place for their Saturday-night trick-or-treat plans.
Free; no registration required
Sneakerween: Trunk-or-Treat Edition
Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center
Sneaker culture meets Halloween at this neighborhood celebration, with a sneaker showcase alongside decorated trunks and candy stops. The city lists a costume contest, DJ, games, prizes, giveaways and photo spots. Come in your costume and favorite sneakers for an outing that gives older children and sneaker fans something extra to enjoy. Contact the center for current admission details or to ask about registering a trunk.

St. Cloud Trunk or Treat
Centennial Park
Celebrate Halloween itself with a free early-evening trunk-or-treat in downtown St. Cloud. The city lists costumes, music, candy and prizes for the whole family, with Orlando Health and Hopkins Heroes sponsoring the gathering. Costumes are encouraged and children should bring a candy bucket. This is a compact two-hour option for families wanting an organized stop before deciding how to spend the rest of Halloween night.
Free admission; purchases extra
Town of Oakland Trunk or Treat
Town of Oakland
Decorated vehicles and golf carts create a Halloween candy route in Oakland, with DJ music and food trucks adding to the community evening. The town welcomes all ages and pets, and encourages costumes. Families can attend to collect treats, while residents interested in decorating a vehicle should read the organizer’s setup instructions. The town’s current announcement lists 230 North Tubb Street as the location.

A free night out
Winter Garden’s Halloween projections loop from 7 to 9 p.m. on October 23, 24, 30 and 31, so you do not have to catch a single performance. Boo! on Broadway brings a Friday celebration to Kissimmee on October 30. On Halloween itself, Kissimmee’s Trunk or Treat offers a family option, while Sanford Avenue’s all-ages block party welcomes dogs too. Its haunted house may not suit every child. Free admission does not mean free food, shopping or every activity.
Halloween Light Shows on City Hall
Winter Garden City Hall
Winter Garden City Hall becomes the backdrop for Halloween projections synchronized with spooky music. The family-friendly outdoor show runs on a continuous loop, so there is no single performance time to catch. Remaining dates are October 23, 24, 30 and 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. each evening. Admission is free. This is an evening light show, separate from the city's daytime Halloween activities.
Free
Boo! on Broadway
Downtown Kissimmee
Boo! on Broadway brings a free Halloween celebration to downtown Kissimmee on the evening before Halloween. Explore Broadway and nearby side streets for candy, costumes, music and art, with local businesses and performers joining the festivities. The event runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and welcomes all ages. It is a family-friendly option for celebrating on Friday rather than waiting until Saturday night.

Sanford Avenue Block Party — Halloween Edition
Sanford Avenue
Head to Sanford Avenue for a Halloween block party with trick-or-treating, local vendors, food and entertainment. The street celebration includes a haunted house plus separate adult and dog costume contests, making it an option for groups with different Halloween interests. Free admission; purchases extra
Halloween beyond the parties
You can enjoy Halloween without taking children trick-or-treating or spending the night at a bar. Try a seated film or theater performance, a candlelit concert, a creative workshop or an outdoor outing. Pick the mood first: a horror film can be intense even in a quiet theater. Check age limits, accessibility and the exact start time before booking; some of these experiences welcome families too.
REDRUM: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Shining
Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater at Dr. Phillips Center
The Overlook Hotel becomes the setting for musical comedy in this unauthorized stage parody of The Shining. Jack Torrance’s winter caretaking assignment unravels into haunted hallways, psychic visions and songs that turn familiar horror into satire. The theater recommends this adult-content production for ages sixteen and older. The published running time is one hour fifty-five minutes plus a fifteen-minute intermission.
Tickets required; see organizer for current prices
Halloween II — Halloween-Night Midnight Movie
Enzian Theater
Finish Halloween with a seated screening of Halloween II, starting one minute before midnight at Enzian. The 1981 sequel continues Michael Myers’ pursuit of Laurie Strode and marks its 45th anniversary this year. It is a 92-minute, R-rated slasher, so expect violence rather than a lighthearted spooky outing. Film tickets are separate from Eden Bar’s Halloween party; attending the movie does not require joining that celebration.
Ticket required; check current availability
Halloween Costume Parade Paddle
Wekiva Island
Put your costume on the water for a Halloween-morning paddle with Wekiva Island and Paddleboard Orlando. Launching starts at 10:30 a.m., with costume judging along the river until 11:15 a.m. The group paddles toward Wekiwa Springs State Park before returning at its own pace. Participation is free with your own board; hard-board rentals require advance RSVP and payment. Regular on-site rental options also remain available.
Free with your own board; hard-board rentals $25 with RSVP
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors — Playwright Talkback
Orlando Shakes — Goldman Theater
Choose a theatrical Halloween evening with a comic reworking of Dracula, followed by an October 29 conversation with playwright Gordon Greenberg. Five actors take on a crowd of characters in a two-hour production including intermission. The show contains mature humor, comic sex and violence, strobe lighting, fog and haze. Orlando Shakes rates it PG-13 and does not admit children under ten. Check ticket availability directly.

GORDO Halloween Eve at Wall Street
Wall Street Plaza
GORDO headlines a Halloween-eve block party at Wall Street Plaza. Wall Street publishes an evening event window and links to organizer ticketing. Check the current ticket tier, age policy and entry instructions before going.
Ticket required; ages 18+; check current tier
K-Pop: All Hallows Rave
Conduit

Smoke & Spirits: Halloween Dinner Experience
Palm Tree Club Restaurant

Build a night that works
Pick one main celebration and plan dinner or a short stop nearby. Winter Garden, Maitland, Sanford and Kissimmee are separate outings, so check the journey before promising your group two events in one night. A free outdoor festival can be a flexible choice; a ticketed evening needs more attention to entry times and transport.
Make a plan with Clem ↗A few Halloween questions
Which option is best for younger children?
Start with daytime or explicitly family-friendly events and read the activity descriptions. Family-friendly does not guarantee that every haunted attraction or costume will suit every child. Ask the organizer about quieter areas and any activity that worries your group.
Does a Halloween event include regular park admission?
Do not assume it does. A special event can need its own ticket or have different entry hours. Check exactly what your ticket includes on the official organizer website, including any separate parking or passholder requirements.
What if the weather changes?
Check the organizer’s latest updates before leaving, especially for outdoor events. Save an indoor alternative nearby and check the cancellation or refund policy before buying a ticket.
