Tucker Ranch’s 25.6-acre wellness park and botanical garden opens October 23. The free ribbon cutting begins at 10 a.m.; gates open at 9:30.

The addition includes a labyrinth, boardwalk and exercise trails at 100 Avalon Road. Parking and restrooms are available.

The garden is Phase II of the larger Tucker Ranch Park and Nature Preserve. The city describes ornamental, food and pollinator plants, plus a pond, fountain and roofed pavilion over the water. Paths connect the addition with existing picnic areas, playground and canoe or kayak launch.

For opening day, use the announced 9:30 a.m. gate time rather than normal park hours. The park is closed October 21–22 for final preparations. After opening, its published seasonal closing time changes from 6 p.m. in October to 5 p.m. in November.
